"I am concerned with the safety of *responsible* drivers. They are our allies in making the changes that need to be made to make this a more liveable for environment for all of us, and not just those who choose to use driving as their sole form of transportation. I do see reckless behavior on a daily basis from bikers, pedestrians, and drivers, but I find it far more disturbing in drivers who have a greater responsibility because they are more likely to cause someone's death or serious injury because of inattentiveness, or careless and reckless behavior."
" I also find it extremely disturbing that there is little likelihood that they will be held accountable even if they are reckless."
"If I could only count the number of times that people have said:
'when a car goes up against a cyclist or a pedestrian, the car always wins.'
" As if this is some process of natural selection or moral justification for the death of another human being. No. Being in a car in a hurry to get somewhere is no excuse for the responsibility of taking someone's life. How many more times do we have to hear "I didn't see her" or "he darted out into traffic." I read that every time in almost every incident. My understanding is you're not supposed to proceed in a motor vehicle unless it is safe. We don't hear that often enough."
" Public space belongs to all of us. Let's slow down and enjoy it."
